basic three channel audio oscillator

in brief:
ok i decided i wanted to explore an audio oscillator. after looking in various electronics articles i descovered a signal generator creating a signal of a set pitch.
later i found another article on creating a 'pencil lead organ' originally i thought of developing a monophonic pencil style note generator (but thats to come) however at the moment i am looking at creating a basic chord generator.
this design will allow the user to 'sweep' or 'tune' into a chord i think this could create an interesting effect.

the idea:
the idea takes 3 audio oscillators and allows the user to select which oscillators to use (allows one, two and three at a time) and either preset the note of each oscillator or tune each one to the desired note.

the images to the left show the initial sketches and ideas for the unit showing a work in progress.

the sound:
ok i dont know exactly what the sound produced will sound like but i have an idea.
the sound will be a shrill continuous note of a set frequency (until the controls are moved).
if the notes are tuned in an interesting effect should be created allowing chords to merge from one to another or merge from one tone into three creating a chord.

its nothing special and its use will probably be limited but its a start and i could progress from this into a monophonic and maybe polyphonic generator (as talked about above).

the digram for this can be found here
